Happy New Year, Limit Breakers!

Are you ready to dive headfirst into 2020 and accelerate your journey to reach your Breakaway Limit?

For most people (myself included), the new year signifies a new beginning. It’s as if you’ve been given a clean slate to start over with. But you have to choose to make it a transformative moment in your life.

But 2020 is extra special, because it’s also the start of a new decade. It means that not only can you start a new page in your life, but also the next chapter of your story.

The Previous Chapter

I don’t know about you, but I’ve done a lot of things I’m not proud of in the last decade. There were times I’ve hurt others and made enemies. Other times I was hurt by others and lost all hope.

There was no shortage of regret, sadness, and even self-hatred at some points.

Looking back on 2019, I can hardly believe that I was still working at my old job. I was depressed, anxious, and a danger to myself because of suicidal thoughts.

But it wasn’t all bad. And you know what they say: Nothing lasts forever.

People change and grow. We learn how to become a better friends, lovers, parents, or leaders. Whatever it is you are, you are growing every day and becoming your best self.

I’m extremely grateful to everyone who has ever been in my life. I can’t remember ever feeling this blessed.

To those who have stayed in my life and to those who have left. And those who have high hopes for me and those who have given up on me. I want you to know this:

Thank you for making me who I am today.

Without all of you, I don’t know that I could have reached this exact point in my life.

And where I am today is perfectly fine.

The Next Chapter

Going forward into 2020, I’ll be spending more time on solutions and less time worrying about problems. I have goals I want to accomplish, both personally and professionally.

In order to solidify these plans, I feel writing them down is the best way to make sure I keep myself accountable.

Exercise

I stopped exercising daily after developing clinical depression from my prior job and gained a bit of extra weight. In order to promote weight loss and get back to being healthy again, I’ll be working out at least 5 days a week until the end of 2020. To keep myself in check, I’ll be reporting to an accountability partner.

Blogging

I’ll aim for three high quality posts a week, but only if the posts are of high quality. I welcome any constructive feedback, so let me know how many posts you would like to see each week and what topics are important to you. After all, this journey is as much for you as it is for me.

Web Design

Breakaway Limit will also be undergoing renovations in the coming year, to maintain the best user experience I’m capable of creating. I want everyone to have easy access to helpful resources to help reach their goals. That way, we can collectively make this our best decade yet.

Business

I have another business that I’ve been meaning to start for two years now. With a new business plan for it, I intend for it to grow just as fast, if not faster than Breakaway Limit. Juggling multiple businesses can be hard, but I assure you that I won’t neglect Breakaway Limit in order to fulfill it. With this business, I will be helping other businesses reach new customers and help them succeed.

Cooking

One of my future projects involves opening a restaurant, so I’ll make time to cook at least once a week. I’ve loved working on new recipes and perfecting existing ones for several years now. In fact, I’ve had overwhelmingly positive feedback from friends and family. But it wasn’t until recently where I reached a breakthrough point in figuring out how to create recipes efficiently. This is partially due to my increased freedom to work on things I care about rather than at a job that kills my motivation. With any luck, I’ll have enough recipes to open a restaurant within the upcoming years.
